Gary and Nick Farr are father and son, they make wine together but aren't afraid to go head to head when their opinions differ. Grown to the frigid climes of Central Otago, the vines at Prophet's Rock were established 1999 to the most auspicious sites in the nether regions around the ancient goldfields of Bendigo Creek. The winemaking is decidedly French, small vessels and wild yeasts, followed by an extended term on sedimentary lees for opulence. Coonawarra cattle graziers since 1906, the Reschke family turned some of their land over to viticulture in the 1980s.
