Rockbare are raiders of precious but wayward vineyards, planted to outdated standards of viticulture, sadly unviable for large scale winemaking. Winemaker Tim Burvill worked at Wynns and Penfolds, where he refined his style alongside some of the best winemakers in the nation's history. Henry Best was a highly industrious merchant and butcher who serviced Ararat miners during the Victorian gold rush. Hurtle Walker first picked grapes as a ten year old on the celebrious Magill property in 1900.
