Barossa makes magic Semillon. The Schrapel family had the foresight to sow Semillon vines long ago, the quality of fruit that grows from these old plantings is now outstanding. Eighteen days of ferment are followed by a course of lees stirring battonage and partial exposure to oak for added splendour. Grapefruit, apples and pears to the bouquet, the palate flows with delicate flavours, gooseberries, lemon and lime. Like all Semillon, Bethany affords the opportunity to experience a growing complexity of remarkable richness as the wine continues to evolve.
