Chardonnay Pinot Noir Champagnes Ay France
One of the last familial Houses of Champagne, the story begins with the wedding of Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon. The marriage lead to the founding of the distinguished Champagne House of Billecart-Salmon, established 1818 at Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Two centuries later, the seventh generation still manages the company and oversees the crafting of each individual bottle. Dominated by Pinot Noir from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Aÿ and the Montagne de Reims, tempered by the elegance and subtlety of the Côte des Blancs Chardonnay.
Abundant and dynamic effervescence. Delicious, enticing and seductive fruit intensity with elegant notes of orchard fruits, nuts and citrus fruits. A pure and nuanced sensorial development brought from gourmet notes of marzipan, fresh pineapple and greengage plums, white and yellow stone fruits, mandarin zest and citrus flavours. The finish is chiselled and persistent, the definition of a great vintage Champagne.
