Today, with a full confidence in the quality of its Champagnes and their potential for ageing, Charles Heidsieck lays down exceptional wines in its Gallo-roman cellars. Cellared or vintage wines will have been matured for as long as 19 years before sediment removal and an additional ageing of several years. A fine gold, deep straw yellow colour, a nice cordon for a very brilliant wine. Floral first impression with violet aromas followed by smooth, fruity nuances of apricot and quince preserve. A touch of fresh fig followed by a warm finish marked by cappuccino cream and liquorice, the finish develops between hazelnut and lavender, honey and quince. An elegant and distinguished wine, with distinct freshness, cellared at the Heidsieck caves at Reims, pure nectar after almost two decades of maturity.
