The First Colonists to arrive in South Australia were brought to Kangaroo Island aboard HMS Buffalo in 1836. Sharing the journey was a veteran of the Royal Navy who had served aboard Lord Nelson's flagship HMS Victory. Frank Potts was an accomplished sailor and carpenter, he built many of the young colony's structures and trading vessels. Six generations later, the Potts family's precious plantings of Malbec have been a key component in many of the nation's most memorable and invaluable vintages for decades. A varietal that performs magnificently on the silty flood plains of Langhorne Creek, Bleasdale's pure Malbec bottlings are a profound statement about the excellence and eloquence which can be achieved after generations of husbanding one of the world's most instrumental yet abstruse wine.. Just three kilometres from Young along Murringo Road, planted to a brisk 500 metres above sea level, Grove Estate was originally sown to vines in 1886, by Croatian settlers who brought cuttings from their farms on the Dalmatian coast. Some of these ancient plantings, emigrated at a time when much of Europe was ruled by Hapsburg emperors, remain productive to this day. Newer blocks were gradually established around these priceless parcels, ostensibly with a view to supplying leading national brands. The quality of fruit became so conspicuous that Grove Estate sanctioned industry celebrities from Ravensworth and Clonakilla to begin bottling under their own estate moniker. The greater Hilltops region is renowned for elegantly structured Cabernet and Shiraz. Grove Estate go one better, they deliver harvests of the most princely Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Barbera. Grove Estate's Flanders Fields is a decidedly Chardonnay dominant effervescent Cuvee, a true Methode.. Quiet consummations of grove estate»

Glenfiddich Project XX 700ml CONFIRM AVAILABILITY

Scotch Whisky
Project XX was so secret that the panel of peers didn’t even know they were participating. Given free reign of the Glenfiddich Conval Warehouse, each expert chose a Malt which most intrigued them, including stocks from Port pipes, American oak and pre loved Bourbon barrels. Project XX embodies the warm, timeless fruityness of Glenfiddich, apple blossom, summer fruits and pear. Candyfloss, cinnamon spice, almonds and rich port tannins with the odd whisper of liquorice, mellow and deep, the finish is ever lasting on a lingering note of sweet oakiness.
