Kooyong Estate only make limited editions from tiny blocks of vine, a hectare or less, which yield deeply personal wines, highly eloquent of their terroir, aspect and clime. The windswept parcel at Meres infuses wonderfully perfumed rhubarb and ribena notes into a velvetine tannin structure. All are equally remarkable for their individuality, they speak of little places, husbanded to artisanal winemaking.. Venerable vintages from the most precious parcels»

Grant Burge PX Black Apera CONFIRM VINTAGE

Pedro Ximenez Barossa South Australia
The ultimate indulgence in the wickedly black, lusciously toothsome style of adults only Barossa fortified. It's all Pedro Ximenez, through and through, picked at the peak of sugar ripeness and spread out on slotted crates under the sun for a highly risque term of three weeks. The intensely parched grapes are like little treasure chests of extravagantly complex flavours, fermented to 17% alcohol, fortified with Grant Burge brandy and sent to a selection of small, well seasoned oak barrels for ten long years. Satiate but be warned, you can't untaste Black Apera PX, once countenanced, you will become obsessed.
