Kooyong Estate Kooyong Farrago Chardonnay CONFIRM VINTAGE

Chardonnay Mornington Victoria
Port Phillip Estate is situated at Red Hill, very near the heart of beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Farrago is a single hectare, gently sloped block planted to mottled clay soils and ironstone pebbles, a highly auspicious terroir for Chardonnay, which invigorates the vines and infuses grapes with luxurious minerality and well defined linearity. Parcels of hand picked fruit are gently whole bunch pressed into French oak barriques for a wild indigenous yeast ferment, followed by a year's maturation, racked for clarity and a minimal filtration to preserve the integrity of a resplendent vineyard.
Straw coloured. Rich flint bouquets and wet rocks, mandarins, tangerine and orange blossom, subtle fennel and bran aromas. Intense ruby grapefruit and lime flavours, penetrating acidity in support, mouth filling underlying fleshiness drives the palate, long and lingering, seamless and powerful, a magnificent new world Chardonnay of great depth and breadth.
