    Shiraz Barossa South Australia
Block 8 is at the northeast corner of Resurrection Vineyard on higher elevations of shallow rocky soils, planted to the Maywald clone Shiraz, a direct descendent of the oldest rootstock in Barossa. Hand picked grapes are treated to a cool temperature, open ferment for ten days, followed by completion of malolactic and ten months age in a selection of well seasoned French oak hogsheads and barriques. Block 8 yields a supple wine of comely eloquence, intricacy and elegance, a fresher, more delicate style of florals and fragrant herb, milk chocolate oak, ripe sugar plums and sweet vanilla pod spice.
