Chardonnay Chablis France
Wiliam Fevre are the largest retainers of Cru Bougros, operating six of the twelve hectares of vine, grown to predominantly clay soils which are somewhat deeper than those of sub Cru Bougros Côte Bouguerots. This distinguished climat lies at the very western end of the Côte des Grands Crus, at altitudes ranging from 130 to 170 metres, on rather deep marl and clay terroirs on a southwest exposure. Cru Bougros produces rich and characterful styles of wine, articulate of Chablis with a measure of elegance and finesse.
Light golden straw hues. Rich bouquet, perfumed with floral fruit characters, offering intense minerality, supported by savouryness, consommé and shell. A solidly structured palate, offering great weight of fruit within a creamy mouthfeel, well rounded, substantial and firm at the finish with lingering mealyness, mineral and brine.
