Minimal chemical input in the vineyard is the priority with a move towards organic viticulture. Block 6 is an elite single parcel of Pinot Noir clone D4V2 Pommard, picked off the most superior rows of low yielding vines. Grapes are hand picked, hand sorted and gently de stemmed into small open fermenters for several days of cold soak maceration. After seventeen days of vinification, batches are pressed off skins into a selection of tight grain, seasoned and new, 500 Litres French oak puncheons for eleven months maturation.
Deep crimson colour. Dark forest berries, black cherry, Asian spice with a brooding density of dary fruit characters dominating the bouquet.
