The story of the Glenfarclas Grants, started in 1805, when John Grant, the present Chairman's great-great grandfather, was born on the farm of Lynbeg, at Glenlivet, in the heart of Speyside. Glenfarclas has been named Distiller of the Year at the whisky industry's Icons of Whisky dinner. Creating a great malt whisky is a time-honoured process. The prestigious award was presented to Glenfarclas for showing the most commitment to the development of whisky at all levels.
“I am delighted with the Distiller of the Year Award. Having produced our whisky for over 170 years, we are not a new kid on the block and it is fantastic that those within the industry recognise that we have continued to produce consistently good quality whisky.” -George Grant Brand Ambassador for Glenfarclas
