A multi award winning Single Malt Whisky, hand crafted at Speyside's smallest working distillery. Initially matured in a mix of Bourbon and Sherry casks, the whisky is transferred to a selection of European oak Oloroso casks for a final term of maturation. A beautifully balanced dram, displaying rich Sherry character, summer fruit flavours, malt creaminess and a light peat smoke influence.
Established 1898, Benromach distillery experienced many closures and changes of ownership prior to 1993, when Malt Whisky specialists Gordon & MacPhail rescued it. After an extensive refurbishment, Benromach was officially re opened by the Prince of Wales in 1998. Just two experienced distillers create Benromach, employing the finest Scottish barley and the purest spring water from nearby Romach Hills. These devoted distillers personally ensure that only the highest quality spirit is filled into sturdy oak casks before being treated to an extended maturation.
