Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Barossa South Australia
An accord of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from small, select parcels of choice Barossa vines, husbanded to produce low yields of intensely flavoured grapes.
A mostly Cabernet wine with just the right amount of Merlot, selected from good Barossa vineyards. Warburn have more than a thousand hectares under vine, providing the winemaking team with a vast expanse of source fruit, allowing a tight control over quality. The idyllic growing seasons and favourable soils yield harvests of small, compact fruit driven berries. Parcels are individually treated to vinification before assembling and maturing twelve months in a selection of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels.
Medium crimson red colour. Bouquet offers a mix of berry, olive and warm earthy aromas. The palate is full, round and velvety, displaying cinnamon, spice and sweet red fruit with a touch of cedar. Balanced by soft, fine tannins, it evolves into a very pleasant, well rounded finish. A full soft wine with gentle fruit and oak integration, lends itself superbly to braises and roasts.
