Sauvignon Blanc South Australia
A lively wine with softness and approachability, well complemented to numerous food styles and dishes.
Sauvignon Blanc grapes were selected from premium growing regions throughout South Australia, although primarily the Limestone Coast. Parcels of fruit which showed generous fruit concentration were identified and treated in the soft press winemaking style. Only the free run juice was used to minimize any harsh phenolics and cool fermentation temperatures were carefully maintained to ensure retention of varietal fruit characters. The result is a lively wine with softness and approachability, well complemented to numerous food styles and dishes. Approx alcohol 11.9.
Sarantos Sauvignon Blanc is bright yellow with soft green edges. On the nose it displays wonderful passionfruit and tropical aromas with subtle supporting herbaceous notes. The palate is soft and full with the abundant flavours of passionfruit and tropical fruits. The well balanced acidity gives the palate an excellent length and superb drinkability. The wine is best enjoyed on release. It is an excellent match to fresh seafood, free range chicken and light Asian dishes.
