The volume of Louis Roederer produced each year depends on a rigid set of qualitative criteria, and nature's willingness to comply. Every year at least two-thirds of the grapes must come from the estate's own vineyards, a strictly enforced policy. The number of bottles is therefore inevitably limited. Control of the quality of the grapes remains the key factor. Yields from each individual parcel, village or cru are always vinified separately, partly in small tanks partly in wooden vats. Minimal use of malolactic fermentation conserves the fruitiness and freshness of the wines. Meticulous care is taken to conserve the character of the individual wines whose distinctive characters will enrich the composition of the finished Cuvee.
Pale golden yellow, a delicate persistent bead. Rich yet subtle bouquet of hawthorn, almonds and toast. The inclusion of reserve wines gives wonderful complexity and roundness to the fresh creamy palate, a perfect balance between the structure and fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and the finesse of the Chardonnay. Louis Roederer Brut Premier is a classic aperitif, the most refined celebratory Champagne.
