Catherine and Laurent Delaunay hail from the premiere viticole of Burgundy, where their family have been producing wine for generations. Following a stint in California they fell under the charm of the Languedoc Roussillon region of southern France. Passionate about good wine and the art of wine appreciation, Catherine travels the length and breadth of Languedoc Roussillon, visiting growers and attending to every detail, from vineyard to bottling. A balanced cepage of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Les Jamelles is crafted to the complete Methode traditionelle.
Pale golden straw with a fine and light, persistent bead. Light and very fresh with aromas of lemon citrus, white petals and musk. The palate is equally elegant and pure, with stone fruit and citrus flavours evolving towards an expression of brioche and soft, creamy mouthfeel. A fine line of mineral acidity adds length before a dry finish. A splendid aperitif wine and fine accompaniement to canapes, consomme and all styles of seafood or poultry recipes.
