In-toe-ducing Barefoot, the Sauvignon Blanc that's wowing them around the world. The McWilliam's team know Sauvignon Blanc very well and retain access to the finest harvests. To satisfy Australia's consuming love with the refreshing, easy drinking style, the boys and girls at Barefoot got down and together to over deliver on a wine with luscious varietal flavours of gooseberry and passionfruits, a touch of herbaceousnesss and cleansing, crisp mineral acidity. Just perfect for the relaxed luncheon alongside freshly shucked oysters or a chicken caesar.
It all begins in the vineyard where the winemakers themselves take an interest in harvesting those grapes which are worthy of the Barefoot label. Sauvignon Blanc is gently crushed into drainers and the best free run juices are separated from skins, settled and fined then racked and warmed before fermentation. Upon completion, batches are lees stirred for six to eight weeks, enhancing richness and contributing palate weight. The finished wine is assembled and promptly bottled to retain freshness and the vibrant varietal zing of Sauvignon Blanc. Alcohol 11.5%
