The salubrious vines here are nourished by unique soils and stimulated by a exhilarating maritime climes. A long, extended growing season allows for the grape tannins and seed to ripen fully, achieving wines that are rich and supple on the palate. Crafted by the emiment team at Morambro Creek, Jip Jip Rocks has claimed salient international awards within a few vintages of inaugural release, including significant awards in London and San Francisco.
Morambro Creek Vineyard is planted to fertile Terra rosa soils. An environmentally friendly viticulture and low yields of the highest quality fruit are the key to the estate's internationally feted wines. Vine balance and canopy management are carefully monitored, achieving harvests of fruit which express the richness of precious soils whence they originate. A balance of Cabernet and Shiraz is vinified ten to twelve days in a combination of open and static fermenters. Vinification temperatures are critical to a retention of the vibrant regional and varietal expression of fruit. Components are matured thirteen months in a selection of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. Alcohol 14.5%
