Shiraz Grenache Barossa Valley South Australia
Barossa grown Shiraz and Grenache have been fashioned into a single wine ever since early settlement. The lifted aromaticness of Grenache and richness of Shiraz, bind into a marvelous accord which has defined many of the world's most
enduring classics. Art & Soul is a delight with exquisite early drinkability, a Shiraz Grenache of softness and elegance, the red wine of choice to accompany gourmande sausage, steak & kidnie, or smart shepherds pie.
Peter Lehmann established one of the nation's most eminent labels, by maintaining close relationships with the Barossa's most dedicated growers. His talented team treats every wine as a blank canvas, the analogous painter's palette being an endowment of fruit from hundreds of the Barossa's finest vineyards. Harvests of Shiraz and Grenache, some picked off old to very old vines, are collated from a number of sites dotted throughout the premiere viticultural precincts of Barossa Valley. Grapes are crushed and fermented on skins for several days before racking, clarification and an early bottling, completely unoaked, for a fruit driven style that's ideal for early enjoyment. Alcohol 14.5%
Deep, vibrant red. Bouquet of dark red fruits, lifted berry florals, cherries and earth over a background of aniseed spice. Intensely fruit driven, exhibiting an impressive display of aromatic fruit characters, generously flavoured with raspberry and peppery plum on a juicy, medium weight palate supported by chewy Shiraz tannins and a feint of reticent oak, all resolving on a soft, beautifully defined finish.
