An Irish cobbler named Reilly settled into the tiny Clare Valley township of Mintaro circa 1856. He converted a stone barn into a homestead cottage. Reilly's Cottage served as the local cobbler's shop in the centre of the bustling town, which had boomed after the establishment of salubrious slate quarries. William Fevre retain a single hectare of the thirty seven at Beauroy, albeit from the superior sub appellation of Les Tro√ęsmes, one of the first terroirs to have been classified as Premiers Crus. The Chablis of Les Tro√ęsmes demonstrate a conspicuous measure of finesse and are renowned for their capacity to evolve gracefully.
