Chardonnay Chablis France
From two precious hectares of a unique sub appellation within the distinguished Bougros Grand Cru. At the very bottom of the twelve hectare Bougros, lies a steep slope of south facing vines, grown to precipitous and challenging angles of thirty degrees or more, which enjoy the fullest exposure to the sun's rays. The auspicious vines on Cote Bouguerots are planted to shallow clay and pebble soils, which reduce vigor and limit the yields, achieving the most complex, big boned and suave styles of Chablis.
Light yellow hues. Fully complex bouquet, intense mineral notes, preserved citrus and fruit notes, supported by oyster shells, rockpools and dried floral. A robust palate of marine influenced flavours, iodine and broth, a solidly weighted mouthfeel, resolving on a piercing finish of savouryness and slate.
