Now defining the post modern Riesling style, pleasingly dry, elegant and crisp, generously proportioned with a mouthful of juicy honeysuckle lime flavours. The Jacobs Creek team spend time in the vineyards identifying quality parcels of Riesling. Great effort is taken at each stage to retain and maximise varietal expression. Harvesting is conducted throughout the cool of night, grapes are immediately delivered to the winery where they are destemmed, gently crushed and pressed to minimise skin contact, the extracted juices must be soft and low in phenolics. Following clarification, ferments are initiated by choice strains of yeast at cooler temperatures to preserve and enhance natural varietal fruit character. Upon completion, components are assembled and stabilised, clarified and bottled for pleasant early drinking. Alcohol 12.1%
Vibrant, pale green hue. A wonderful nose of fresh, lifted lemons and limes with attractive florals and underlying ripe tropical fruit notes, blossoms with a subtle citrus character. Appealing flowery lime and zesty citrus fruit flavours are balanced by a natural mineral acidity, which provides vitality and length to the palate. Soft yet substantial, flavoursome and textural with natural minerality, quenching acidity delivering balance and good length of flavour.
