Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot South Australia
The conjugate, gentle red wine cépage of Merlot and Cabernet, Red Label exhibits a fully integrated complexity, harmony of fruit and trademark smooth, warming tannins which have made this compatible blend such an enduring accord. The baronial Wolf Blass commands a wealth of vineyard resources to access the most highly prized fruit. An extremely easy to enjoy table red, lightly oaked, lead by the dominance of assertive Cabernet Sauvignon yet softened by the plush, plum fruit of the sweetly perfumed Merlot.
Crafted by one of Australia's most highly awarded winemaking teams, Red Label carries the same commitment to excellence that exists across the entire Wolf Blass family. Red Label is crafted to traditional winemaking methods through state of the art control techniques to ensure the consistency of quality with each vintage. Grapes are sourced from the finest sites, tended by growers who work closely with Wolf Blass. Harvested at the peak of ripeness to fully developed flavours and ripe tannins, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are crushed and fermented separately. Made to a style that promotes primary characters of fruit whilst adding palate complexity through judicious use of oak. Alcohol 13.5%
