Adam Henkell established himself as a wine merchant in Mainz circa 1832, laying the foundation of today's Henkell & Soehnlein. As early as 1856, Henkell devoted himself to the production of popular sparkling wines. Following the creation of the Henkell Trocken label in the late 19th century, his grandson Otto transformed this delightful, sparkling cuvee into a highly esteemed marque that was enjoyed worldwide. Henkell Trocken has since became one of the great prestige brands, approachable to all, a must at every celebration and social occasion.
