Gary and Nick Farr are father and son, they make wine together but aren't afraid to go head to head when their opinions differ. Nick grew up amongst some of the world's most sacred vineyards, he knows about the land and found a magnificent little site, barely east of Lake Colac. Irrewarra is the vigneron's shangri-la, prepared for viticulture by generations of grazing and eons of the sobering south sea breezes, which stimulate vines to yield meagre harvests of parched little grapes, sleek of tannin and rich in flavour. Vintaged in excruciatingly limited lots, there are fully two styles of Irrewarra on offer, a grapefruit and oyster shell Chardonnay, a Pinot.. It's irrewarra by farr»
Established 1976, Clairault are one of the pioneering estates on Margaret River. A tastefully limited range, from elite vineyards within the very dress circle of prestigious wineries at the heart of Margaret River's most illustrious precincts, Wilyabrup, Yallingup and Karridale. These are the dearest winegrowing terroirs in the Australian west, a place of auspicious soils and stimulating climes, the motherlode of environmentals which yield the most august vintages on the continent. The team at Clairault take a decidedly pastoral approach, biodynamically grown and environmentally sound, a sanctuary to native flora and fauna, their vineyards are managed to a.. Andrew Nugent grew up next door to the great historical wineworks at Penfolds Magill. He honed his craft as viticulturalist and vigneron amongst the illustrious wineries of old McLaren Vale. In the 1990s, Nugent planted new vines at Woodside along Bird In Hand Road, on the site of an ancient gold mine, a godsend of fortuitously fertile soils and magnificent mesoclimes for stellar quality Adelaide Hills wine. Bird In Hand have since amassed a breathtaking tally of international accolades for the unrivalled excellence of their superlative vintages, wonderfully small batch releases, with the magnificence of structure, seamlessness and immaculacy of fruit, to.. Boutique winemaking affords great advantages, every vine can be uniquely husbanded, quality control is maximised, each barrel can be individually sampled and assembled into the perfect cuvee. Engineering types are innately suited to such viticulture. Colin Best embarked upon his sabbatical to the great vineyards of Burgundy's Cote d'Or. He returned to plant Pinot Noir on a craggy half hectare near Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills. An ancient masonry wool mill was outfitted for winemaking and Leabrook Estate was born. This is an aesthetic range of meticulously crafted, limited vintages, fashioned for the aficianado of bespoke, small batch, little vineyard wines... The lobethal libations of leabrook»

De Ladoucette Marc Bredif Vouvray Methode Traditionnelle CONFIRM VINTAGE

Chenin Blanc Loire Valley France
The sparkling wines of Valley Loire are known for their vitality, freshness and affable drinkability. Within the picturesque and undulating, chateau lined terroirs of the greater Loire, lies the Appellation d'origine contrôlée of Vouvray, a region which yields a quality of sparkling that's rather unique, more generous and appealing, with an engaging complexity of flavour and delicate mousse. Marc Brédif was established 1893, one of the oldest maison in the commune, it remains the largest, a pioneer of the gently pétillant style of Vouvray sparkling.

Parcels of Chenin Blanc are normally harvested around October, off fully mature vines, twenty or more years of age, planted north to south on the clay limestone hillsides of Vouvray and Vernou sur Brenne. Bunches are selectively hand picked and sorted into crates, keeping only the healthiest grapes for vinification. Fruit is treated to a pneumatic press, the finest runs are retained and cold settled for a day or two. Juices are vinified for a month at a controlled 16C, to preserve fruit character while enhancing complexity. A component of reserve wines are included in the assemblage, bottled for two and a half years under cellar at 12C, followed by degorgement and liqueur dosage.
Straw gold hue, a supple effervesence. Stonefruits and honeyed citrus notes, light jasmine and apple notes. Creamy palate offering good weight of fruit, a clean, revitalizing sparkling showing developed fig characters behind fresh cut citrus, pear and apple flavours. An exquisite aperitif style and splendid food wine, to match with seafoods, avocado recipes or canapes.
