Pinot Noir Marlborough Wairau New Zealand
The provident vineyards of Wairau Valley are at the very heart of Marlborough central, planted to auspicious alluvial terrains and drenched by the most opportune sunshine in all Aotearoa. It is here that the congenial growing seasons yield a quality of Pinot Noir with supple tannins and brightly lit fruit, lending itself perfectly to vintages of engaging Rosé. Wither Hills set aside those parcels which can best articulate the fine structure and freshness of a comely pink wine, fashioned into a style that drinks exquisitely alongside Al fresco and smart cosmopolitan fare.
Marlborough makes wonderful Pinot Noir, the excellent fruit and lithe tannins translate into splendid Rosé wines of character and length. Grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness for a vibrant and effusive style of bliush coloured wine. Berries are gently pressed and the juices are cold settled, racked and vinified at cooler temperatures through the action of choice yeast strains, to enhance aromatics and retain the inimitable qualities of Pinot Noir on the vine. Upon completion, batches are held on light yeast lees to build palate texture and structure. Components are racked and assembled, filtered and bottled early to capture the exquisite character of Marlborough Pinot Rosé.
