One of the last familial Houses of Champagne, the story begins with the wedding of Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon. The marriage lead to the founding of the distinguished Champagne House of Billecart-Salmon, established 1818 at Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Two centuries later, the seventh generation still manages the company and oversees the crafting of each individual bottle. Dominated by Pinot Noir from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Aÿ and the Montagne de Reims, tempered by the elegance and subtlety of the Cote des Blancs Chardonnay.
