A faithful remake of the original 1963 Glenfiddich Straight Malt, assembled after a selection of aged Whiskies, based on a recipe by Sandy Grant Gordon, uncovered from the Glenfiddich family archives. Gordon was a visionary, bringing the splendour and refinement of Scotland's exquisite Malts to the world, he changed the way Whisky will be appreciated forever. The invaluable stocks of Glenfiddich mature in stores of Sherry oak cask, until called upon by the Malt Master, for recreation of the original blend, then as now, a spirit of exceptional character, elegance and charm.
Golden hues. A fruity, floral aroma, the hallmark Glenfiddich pear, subtle oak notes and a youthful biscuit character. Pleasantly sweet with lively fruit notes and a soft vanilla oakiness, the flavors develop with the addition of a little water, revealing delicate spices, citrus and fresh baked oat cakes. Deliciously drying finish.
