Following each growing season, the harvest which can best exhibit the ideal balance of strong regional varietal fruit character and flattering flavour profile are selected for inclusion into the stately Leonay. Leo Buring have vintaged the nation's most memorable white wine for over seventy years. In 2002 the winery returned to its roots, making only Riesling. Leo Buring's tireless efforts to introduce Australian palates to table wine have been far reaching. His influence on the industry, ranging from technical advice to government reports, resulted in many improvements to Australian viticulture. To this day, the Buring estate retains some of Australia's most distinguished Riesling vineyards. All grapes are hand picked and carefully handled, to prevent oxidisation while preserving clean fruit flavours. Following vinification and settling, Leo Buring is bottled immediately after assemblage to maintain freshness.
