Sangiovese Nebbiolo Petit Verdot Barbera Hilltops New South Wales
The Grove Estate property on the NSW Hilltops boasts a long and proud pioneering history of viticulture. Vines were originally planted in 1886, some of these old veterans remain productive to this day. Grove Estate has maintained a small parcel of fruit to produce a range of premium wines under their own label. Alternative varietals are the specialty, seamlessly assembling parcels of Barbera and Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Petit Verdot into an exotic, impeccably balanced assemblage of complex fruit richness and savoury tannin ripeness.
Bright scarlet red hues. Bramble and black cherry nose, the savouryness of tomato leaf, leather and olives, pepper notes and curl of lightly seasoned oak. A beautifully sculpted palate augmented by firm yet ripe, supportive, lingering tannins, before a long savoury finish of crisp, piquant fruit characters and refined velvet textures.
