Pinot Noir Tamar Valley Tasmania
Tamar Ridge have earmarked some of their finest Kayena Vineyard fruit for the Devil's Corner, a pure, crisp and rejuvenating wine displaying vibrant Pinot Noir varietal characters and remarkable approachability. Choice parcels selected from estate blocks along the east coast of the apple isle contribute balance and complexity. Fruit driven and redolent with juicy red cherry/ berry flavours, an eager to please, fully integrated wine with supple oak and gentle tannins.
Crafted exclusively from estate grown Tamar Valley Pinot Noir, the grapes always show excellent ripeness with deep bright colours and full flavours. Great wines are made in the vineyard, it is the exceptional quality of fruit grown to the Kayena site that forms the cornerstone of Devil's Corner. Grapes are crushed and vinified on skins in static fermenters while being treated to air maceration techniques, permitting gentle extraction of flavour and colour without excessive tannins and astringency. Fashioned to an approachable, drink now style with a generosity of flavour, this delicious cool climate Tasmanian Pinot has been handled throughout vinification with the emphasis on complete retention of fresh fruit characters.
Bright cherry red with purple tinges. Ripe spicy plum and cherries with underlying savoury aromas. Mouthfilling palate with red fruits and cherry flavours, seasoned by hints of spicy, savoury complexity. Devils Corner is made to a lighter bodied style backed up by fine, silky tannins and a long supple finish, but there's no shortage of flavour.
