The First Colonists to arrive in South Australia were brought to Kangaroo Island aboard HMS Buffalo in 1836. Exclusively Langhorne Creek Shiraz and nothing but the finest of the pick. Bleasdale are one of the new world's great dynasties of wine, still in family hands after six generations of viticulture. Founder Frank Potts was a legendary figure who built much of the new colony's townworks. Fruit is destemmed into traditional open fermenters and pumped over several times daily, drained and pressed after a fortnight and racked to a selection of new and seasoned French and American oak hogsheads and puncheons for a year's maturation.
