Riesling Coonawarra South Australia
Secret's out, Coonawarra makes amazing Riesling. An elegant style with attractive varietal fruit character, generous with flavour, Katnook displays a wonderful harmony of winsome perfumes. Like all fine Riesling, Katnook is floral and fruit forward while being deliciously dry, offering the capacity to evolve gracefully as it fills the glass with engaging complexity.
Katnook's mature Riesling vines are planted to salubrious Terra rossa soils, sited within the 330 hectares of prime estate vineyards at the heart of the comparatively small and remote Coonawarra region. From here come white wines with distinctive attributes that have contributed to Australia's international reputation. Grapes for Katnook's single varietal wines are specially selected from the older, more distinguished sites. Concentrated flavours, fine balance and integrity of regional and varietal character, are all hallmarks of the Katnook Riesling. Fruit in perfect condition and exhibiting excellent varietal definition, is selectively pruned and picked from the older vines. Alcohol 12.5%
