The Sir James range of sparkling wines was launched in honour of founder Thomas Hardy’s great grandson. James was Eileen and Tom Hardy’s youngest son, he followed in the footsteps of his forebears and becomes chairman of Thomas Hardy & Sons. For his services to the Australian wine industry, the sport of yachting, the community at large and to the handicapped, Gentleman Jim, as he is known to friends, received a Knighthood in 1989. The most extravagant Methode Traditionalle vinification techniques are employed in the production of Sir James Cuvee Brut, fermentation in own bottle, riddling and disgorgement. Medium straw hue, fine effervescence and persistent bead. Cuvee Brut exhibits the cherry and apple crunch of Pinot Noir, complemented by stonefruit and melon elements of the Chardonnay.
