Montalcino enjoys one of the warmest and driest mesoclimes in Tuscany, grapes ripen a week earlier than nearby Chianti Classico and achieve the most amazing intensity. Brunello spends its first year in French oak barriques, building structure and infusing complexity, followed by transfer to larger format oak to integrate the layers of palate and arrive at a place of exceptional balance.
