W. J. Seabrook & Son have been a part of the Australian wine industry since 1878. Many an ancient storefront, right across the country, are still emblazoned with the family label. Fifth generation vigneron Hamish Seabrook drew inspiration from time well spent at other illustrious estates, establishing his own personal repute as a distinguished winemaker during tours of duty at Bests Great Western, Brown Brothers Milawa and the Barossa's exalted Dorrien. A key to the long lived excellence of the Seabrook trademark has been a canny selection of exceptional vineyards fruit. Hamish hand chooses his harvests from the finest vineyards in the land, just as his.. Salutations to seabrook»
Heirloom Vineyards were born of love. A romance between an esteemed wine judge and his protege, consumated by a shared passion to preserve the integrity of venerable old vineyards. A deference for the sanctity of the soil and adherence to the timeless procedures of organic viticulture, were an integral part of the vision. Their parching quest, to secure some grand old blocks of vine in the elder precincts of Adelaide Hills, Coonawarra, Barossa and Valley Eden, were followed by years of corrective husbandry, pencil label releases and bespoke vintages. The fostered old vines have now been resurrected, yielding treasured harvests of the most sublime new world.. Serenading sleeping vineyards to life»
There are four tiny patches of vine at Scotchman's Hill, which have been mollycoddled by Robin Brockett, since the start of his tenure as chief winemaker in the 1980s. Excruciatingly limited after a strict pruning and rigorous sorting of fruit, they each yield a mere hundred cases of wine. Brockett has set aside the precious harvests of these superior blocks for his own label, a personal project to hand craft the finest of vintage, an exclusive range of the Bellarine's most elite single vineyard efforts. So besotted is Brockett by the spectacular quality of fruit from these four regal parcels, he has imported two 800 Litre Tuscan vinification Amphora from the.. Brockett begets the best of bellarine»

The estate of Argiano is set within a beautiful rural environment, where rows of vines alternate with olive grooves and meadows, surrounded by luxurious Mediterranean maquis. Mount Amiata in the southeast, acts as a natural protection against inclement weather, cloudbursts and hailstorms. The respectable altitudes of 300 metres are refreshed by warm winds from the Maremma, creating a mild microclimate with many clear days throughout the growing season. Grapes are all picked by hand into small baskets. Varietals are separately handled, macerated for a fortnight or more, fermented and treated to malolactic before transfer to a selection of completely new French oak barriques for up to seventeen months maturation.
Deep purple black colour. Bouquet of ripe fruits, black currants and blackberry, infused by toasty oak. Soft on the palate with great concentration of lush fruit balanced by fine, smooth tannins. Impressive structure and complexity tempered by exemplary tannic extracts.
