The proprietors of Dugat-Py are native to the commune of Gevrey Chambertin, the family of M Dugat have been practising viticulture here since the beginning of the seventeenth century. Fernand Dugat established a new generation of vines immediately after the second world war, they are now fully mature and represent the most superior examples of viticulture within the greater commune of Gevrey Chambertin. The splendid vintages of Les Evocelles are highly prized and excruciatingly rare, a mere one or two hundred dozen are produced each year.
