Today, Jean-Claude Rouzaud, a trained oenologist and grandson of Madame Camille Olry-Roederer, presides over the destiny of the famous company in Reims and guides its development. Louis Roederer's fundamental advantage lies in its superb 190-hectare vineyard which, on average, rates 97.5% on the official classification scale.

Louis Roederer is driven by a commitment to quality that takes precedence over quantity. Premiere Brut is dominated by the slightly larger component of Pinot Noir, finessed by the inclusion of the most superlative Chardonnay, enhanced by a tenth proportion of Pinot Meunier. Louis Roederer collates Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Valley de la Marne, with Chardonnay from the Cotes des Blanc. An assemblage of wines from a minimum of four different vintages, matured in bottle for a minimum of three years, Brut Premier includes up to 10% of Reserve wines - Cuvees from previous vintages stored for two to five years in large oak casks. Dosage 11-12 gms per litre.
Pale golden yellow in colour with a delicate persistent bead. Rich yet subtle bouquet of hawthorn, almonds and toast. The inclusion of reserve wines gives wonderful complexity and roundness to the fresh creamy palate. A perfect balance between the structure and fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and the finesse of the Chardonnay. Louis Roederer Brut Premier is a classic aperitif or celebratory Champagne.
