Louis Roederer collates Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Valley de la Marne, with Chardonnay from the Cotes des Blanc. An assemblage of wines from a minimum of four different vintages, matured in bottle for a minimum of three years, Brut Premier includes up to 10% of Reserve wines - Cuvees from previous vintages stored for two to five years in large oak casks. Dosage 11-12 gms per litre.
Pale golden yellow in colour with a delicate persistent bead. Rich yet subtle bouquet of hawthorn, almonds and toast. The inclusion of reserve wines gives wonderful complexity and roundness to the fresh creamy palate. A perfect balance between the structure and fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and the finesse of the Chardonnay. Louis Roederer Brut Premier is a classic aperitif or celebratory Champagne. Serve chilled, and often, as the fullness and structure make it a superb accompaniment to all good foods.
