The Climats of Pommard are at the centre of Cote de Beaune, near the very heart of the greater Burgundy region. Domaine Dugat-Py retain a single parcel of old vines at Pommard, seventy years of age and planted to propitious limestone clay soils which yield one of the most precious harvests in the entire commune. The winemaking at Domaine Dugat-Py is faithfully old world in style, crafted to a timeless regimen of bucolic techniques, followed by eighteen months in an extravagant selection of the finest Burgundian oak barriques, almost exclusively new.
