The Climat de Les Evocelles is planted to a steep and auspicious, southeast facing slope at the very northwest of Gevrey Chambertin. The vines of Domaine Dugat-Py were established here not long after the second world war, grown to a splendid mix of silty, calcareous clays, they are husbanded to naturally biodynamic viticultural techniques which have remained unchanged for generations. A vivid wine of intense purple fruit flavours, raspberry liqueur characters and mineral spice, supported by the luxury of eighteen months in completely new French oak.
