Somewhere near the Seaview end of McLaren Vale's Chapel Hill Road, a perfunctory passerine perched her pincers astride a pair of power poles and saw herself alit. Down she went amongst the dry grown branches of an old Grenache vineyard, setting the valuable veterans ablaze. The scorched site eventually came to the attention of a winemaking trio, the Messrs Leske, Tynan & Cooke, Masters of Wine and a venerable vintner, all driven by a consuming passion to make greater Grenache. Thistledown vintage very small amounts of the most extraordinary Grenache. Beautifully detailed and conspicuously elegant, their floral bouquets and graceful finish emulate the aromatic lift and peacock's tail of a prettily.. Polly & the pyre to paradise»
Hurtle Walker first picked grapes as a ten year old on the celebrious Magill property in 1900. Apprenticed to the legenderies Monsieur Duray and Leon Mazure, Walker was placed in charge of sparkling wine production for the historic Auldana Cellars at the ripe old age of 21. He saw service as a soldier in World War I and made great wine until 1975. Hurtle Walker's grandson continues the family tradition, partnering with Jimmy Watson winner David O'Leary to acquire the most auspicious Clare Valley vineyards and establish one of the nation's leading marques. Between the two, O'Leary and Waker have claimed every prestigious accolade in the land, a breathtaking tally of dozens national Trophies and countless.. The illustrious pair of valley clare»
It was a matrimony between an American biochemist and the founder of Margaret River Devils Lair, that set the scene for one of the nation's most illustrious estates. A member of the Top 1OO Wineries of World, Giant Steps were established 1997, with a view to assembling an elite range of limited release Yarra Valley vintages. Fashioned for aficianados of the euro style, defined by their winsome fruit and graceful tannins, the Giant Steps.. Big wines from little vineyards»

Chardonnay Pinot Noir Marlborough New Zealand
A very stylish Marlborough assemblage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Marlborough vineyards intentionally planted to create this very wine. Deutz Marlborough is the exquisite result of a winemaking partnership between the prestigious Champagne House of Deutz at Ay, and Pernod Ricard. Deutz marries the best of Marlborough grapes with Champagne methodology, presenting us with a multi award winning new world Brut Cuvee. Crisp, with impressive complexity and richness, yeasty and nutty flavours, excellent vigour and length.
Sourced from the best vineyards in Marlborough, hand harvested at the point where ample sweetness and natural acidity are in harmony. Marlborough's cool maritime climate ensures fruit aromas at vintage remain within a narrow spectrum, retaining the natural grape acidity. The grapes are very lightly pressed to release the free run juices, cold settled and fermented to dryness at 15-18C, then held on light yeast lees for a period of months. After fining and stabilising, the Pinot Chardonnay components are assembled and treated to a secondary ferment in the bottle. Deutz then reposes on its secondary ferment lees for at least two years en tirage before disgorgement. Alcohol 12.0%
A sparklingly clean appearance, straw coloured with a persistent foaming mousse. Bouquets of light cherry and reddish fruit, herbes and sur lie complexity. Deutz shows great power and body, with an excellent balance between the darker Pinot Noir fruit flavours, and toasty, yeasty expressions. The paler fruits of the chardonnay are brightly featured and buttery, an extended finish, and long creamy aftertaste.
