He exelled at both pursuits but is best remembered as the legendary leg spinner Tony Rocket Mann. Hurtle Walker first picked grapes as a ten year old on the celebrious Magill property in 1900. There are a mere hundred hectares of Glera vineyards, stretching out between the undulating landscapes San Pietro di Barbozza, Santo Stefano and Saccolworthy, worthy of the moniker Superiore di Cartizze. The soils here are mineral rich and marine, they vary considerably from sandstone to alluvial clays, all share a providence for yielding the world's most toothsome sparkling wine. Grapes are encouraged to ripen fully, harvested late in the season and vinified to the local Conegliano Valdobbiadene method.
Straw yellow hues, regal mousse. Rich floral notes of acacia and rose, golden delicious and pink grapefruit, oerfumed and suave.
